A little Christmas inspiration
One paintbox. A whole lot of wonder.
Ella paints a trail of golden stars, a candy-cane gateway and a Christmas tree that lights up the woodland. Your child’s story starts with their own ideas.
Ella and the Christmas Paintbox
Ella dipped her brush into the gold paint and drew a star in the snow. Its last point came out rather short. Before she could fix it, the star gave a little shiver. Then it began to shine.
Another star appeared beside it. And another. A whole trail of them winked into life between the fir trees. Ella stared at her brush. There was still a tiny drop of gold on its tip.
“What else can you do?” she whispered. She closed the paintbox, tucked it under her arm and stood up. The nearest star glowed beside her yellow boot.

Illustration and book assembly typically take under 30 minutes after story approval, though timing can vary. Hardcover printing and delivery take additional time and depend on the destination. Our Christmas delivery cut-off will be announced once confirmed.
Can I give the digital book as a physical gift?+
Yes. Print it at home, read it on a tablet, or tuck a printed page into a Christmas Eve box. You can upgrade to hardcover later and pay only the difference.
Does the story have to be about Christmas?+
Not at all. Christmas themes are available, but you can pick any theme — dinosaurs, space, animals, a quest — and it's still a Christmas present. Some children would much rather have the dinosaur book.
Do you offer gift wrapping?+
Not currently. The hardcover arrives in protective packaging, but it isn't gift-wrapped.
Can I add a message?+
Yes. You can add a personal foreword that's printed inside the book, which for a Christmas gift is often the part that gets kept.
Can I buy it for a child in another country?+
Choose the recipient's supported delivery country in the builder. The hardcover price includes delivery and local VAT. The digital book is downloadable and can be created in English, Spanish, French, German or Dutch.
What if I don't like the story?+
Preview their character, cover and first five text pages before payment. After ordering, read and edit the full story before the final illustrations are made. If something still isn't right, see our refund policy.
