Most personalized books need a week or more in the post. Ours arrives as a finished digital book in under half an hour — so a gift you think of on Christmas Eve is still a gift you can give on Christmas morning.
Print it, read it off a tablet, or send it to grandparents on the other side of the world. Then order the hardcover in January when the post has calmed down, if you want one.

Will it arrive in time for Christmas?
The digital book is ready in under 30 minutes, at any point up to and including Christmas Day. The A4 hardcover is printed and posted, so it depends on your delivery address — you'll see options and timings before you pay.
Can I give the digital book as a physical gift?
Yes. Print it at home, put it on a tablet in a Christmas Eve box, or print the first page as a card that tells them the full book is coming. Plenty of parents do exactly that and then order the hardcover afterwards.
Does the story have to be about Christmas?
Not at all. Christmas themes are available, but you can pick any theme — dinosaurs, space, animals, a quest — and it's still a Christmas present. Some children would much rather have the dinosaur book.
Do you offer gift wrapping?
Not currently. The hardcover arrives in protective packaging, but it isn't gift-wrapped.
Can I add a message?
Yes. You can add a personal foreword that's printed inside the book, which for a Christmas gift is often the part that gets kept.
Can I buy it for a child in another country?
The digital book, yes — it's delivered instantly wherever they are, and available in English, Spanish, French, German and Dutch. Hardcover delivery depends on your location; you'll see options and costs before paying.
What if I don't like the story?
You read and edit it before any illustration happens, so most problems get fixed before they exist. If something still isn't right, see our refund policy.
